Obituary of Caroline F. Striley

Caroline F. Striley, 92, of Owego, NY, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2021. Caroline was born in Owego, NY to the late Louis and Augusta Panetti. She was predeceased by her husband, Elbert Striley, in 1983; two brothers, Mario Panetti, Patrick Panetti and his wife Betty; several brothers and sisters-in-law. Caroline is survived by two sons and their spouses, Louie and Patti Striley, Jamie and Donna Striley; one daughter and her spouse, Teresa and Mark Edwards; six grandchildren, Christine, Amanda, Denise, Michelle, Sidney, Adam; four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Connor, Emma, Oliver; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and relatives. Caroline enjoyed summers at her cottage in Sylvan Beach, traveling, and most of all, time spent with family and friends. She was a life member of St. Patrick’s Church, a member of the Altar Rosary Society, and Catholic Daughters. She was active in her community, including the OFD Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and various senior citizen’s groups. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home. Please Note: All state-required social distancing guidelines are to be followed.
