Sexton; parents, Harold and Beulah (Terwilliger) Sincebaugh; four brothers Harold, John (Jack), Donald, Laurance (Joe) Sincebaugh, and sisters-in-law Betty Sincebaugh and Ana Kastenhuber. Julia was raised in Trumansburg, NY, where she attended school, with a passion for playing high school basketball. She was a true farm girl with a world-forward mindset. Julia retired from the U.S. Postal Service as Owego Postmaster. She was also a member of the Owego Business and Professional Women's Club, former Treasurer of the Democratic Committee of Tioga County, volunteered for the Red Cross and as an election poll worker, and was a member of the Union Center Christian Church. Julia enjoyed tending to her outdoor flower gardens, baking, playing cards, reading, and vacationing with family on Cayuga and surrounding lakes. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones, friends, and community. The family will receive friends Friday, May 7, 2021 from 1:30 to 3:15 pm with services to follow at 3:30 pm at the Estey Munroe and Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St. Owego, NY. Services will be live streamed at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com (click on Julia's obit). Please note: All state required social distancing guidelines are to be followed. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Julia's name to the American Red Cross, or charity of your choice. In fondest memory, "Dear God," she prayed, "let me be something every minute of every hour of my life. Let me be gay; let me be sad. Let me be cold; let me be warm. Let me be hungry...have too much to eat. Let me be ragged or well dressed. Let me be sincere - be deceitful. Let me be truthful; let me be a liar. Let me be honorable and let me sin. Only let me be something every blessed minute. And when I sleep, let me dream all the time so that not one little piece of living is ever lost." - Betty Smith, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn Condolences may be made to Julia's family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
