Obituary of Alfred A. Binder

Alfred "Al" Binder, 94, of Apalachin, NY, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Alfred was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Binder; his daughter, Christina Mellema; brother, Wilbert Binder. He is survived by his three daughters and four sons-in-law, Carol and Steve Sweeney, Cindy and Bob Whitaker, Cathy and Stacy Pierce, Jim Mellema; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Weathers; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Al was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and retired as a Systems Engineer from IBM Corp. of Owego, NY. He was a member of the Union Center United Methodist Church. Due to Covid, private services for the immediate family will be held at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home. Services will be live streamed on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com (click Al's obituary). Burial will be in the Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell, NY.
