Obituary of Beverly Jean Neal

Beverly (Godfrey) Neal, 83, of Owego, NY went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2022. She was born on October 24, 1938 to Errol and Alice Godfrey. Besides her parents, Bev was predeceased by her son, Matthew Neal; grandson, Nathan Myers; brother-in-law, Dennis "Duke" Wilson; brother, Bernard Godfrey; friend and companion, Paul Nichols. She is survived by her 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Frederick and Rhoda Neal of Apalachin, Floyd and Aida Neal of Waterloo, Edward Neal of Endicott and Roger Neal of Owego; sister, Sharon (Godfrey) Wilson of Nichols; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Janice Godfrey of Owego; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Beverly graduated from the Owego Free Academy in 1956. She went on to complete her life-long dream of becoming a nurse and graduated from BOCES Adult Learning Center as an LPN. Bev retired from the Broome Development Center. She enjoyed spending her time surrounded by family, friends, working on crafts, singing and dancing. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, NY. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Funeral services will be live streamed at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com (click on Beverly's obituary). Burial will be held at Tioga Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Beverly's name to Campville Volunteer Fire Co., 6153 State Rt 17C, Endicott, NY 13760.
