Virginia Fay Johnson, 102, of Candor, NY, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Harold Johnson; son, Raymond Winans; brother, James Lathrop; sisters, Joy Zamoiski, Pat Relyea; son-in-law, George Tomaras. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Sylvia Tomaras, Joseph and Rose Bish, Trudie and Robert Young; seven grandchildren, George (Kristin) Tomaras, Jennifer Skinner, Joseph J. (Becca) Bish, Jolane (Rick) Ricardo, Heidi Young, Stacy Hoyt, Karen (John) Canestaro ; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sabra Isham; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff and care providers the Vestal Center Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their compassionate care of Virginia. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
