Obituary of Janina M Black
Janina M. Black, 75, of Owego, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 5, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Merrick and Maybelle Jenkins Clinton; her sisters, Nora Jean, Dawn; and her husband Calvin Timothy Black. She is survived by her brother, Timothy Merrick and his wife Anita; six children, Donald (Chrissy) Swartz, David Swartz, Darryl (Debbie) Swartz, Daniel Swartz and Billy, Anita (Joseph) Wintermute, Mary (Scott Steves) Swartz; 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a very special sister-in-law Kathy Black. She also leaves behind many friends. A celebration of Janina’s life will be held on Sunday, August 11th at 1:00 pm at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with the Rev.
