Obituary of Joan Walker Carlton

Joan B. Walker Carlton, 79, of Marathon, NY passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Marion Walker; grandson, Brett Ross. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Mark Carlton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Tammy Babcock, Jeffrey and Christine Hart, Brian Ward and Lauren Wood; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Tarah, Logan, Nicole, Justin, Kayla, Kourtney; siblings, Stephen and Dawn Walker, Dolores Walker, Ralph and Merry Walker, Frank and Jammye Walker, Jill Shoultes; several nieces and nephews, dear friend, Dawn Shedden; her dog, Capo. Joan worked in Human Resources at Cornell University. She will be remembered for her passion of playing her guitar and singing harmony with many local bands. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY with services live streamed at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
