Obituary of Lisanne Spencer Fyock

Lisanne S. Fyock, 84, of Owego, passed away on May 20, 2021. Lisanne was born in Pittsburg, PA to the late Howard and Helen Spencer. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Jonathan Fyock; three brothers, Van, Richard, and Barry Spencer. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Esther Fyock; daughter and son-in-law, Marcy and Rick Cheeseman; four grandchildren, Wyatt, Lydia, Alexis, Dominick; great-grandson, Callan; sister, Carol Larkin, sister-in-law, Martha Spencer; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Lisanne attended Callery School, Adams, PA, Evan City High School, Evan City, PA, Mansfield University, Penn State University and SUNY Cortland. She taught Home Economics at Owego Free Academy for many years, 1st grade at Washington Gladden and later Berkshire, and also was a substitute for all Tioga County Schools. Lisanne was secretary of the Owego Apalachin Faculty Women Bowlers, member of the Bowling League in Saipan, President of the Spot Shop Non-Profit Consignment Arts and Crafts and a member of the Broome County Quilter's Guild. Always active, Lisanne enjoyed many hobbies including crafting and sewing, hunting with her husband and son, spending time outdoors, tending her gardens and house plants, skiing, reading, teaching, learning, cooking and traveling to see her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY with her good friend, Marvin Moyer, officiating. Services will be live streamed at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com (click on Lisanne's obit). The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
