Obituary of Andrew Frank Bonetti

Andrew "Andy" Bonetti, 91, of Vestal, NY went to be with Our Lord, Saturday, September 25, 2021. Mr. Bonetti was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph and Mary Bonetti. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Frank Bonetti; grandson, Darin Salerno. Andy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Bonetti; five children and their spouses, Maria and George Muzea, Paul Bonetti, Clarissa and Thomas Robinson, Elizabeth and Robert Carrino, Joseph Bonetti; seven grandchildren, Gemma, David, Joseph, Michael, Kevin, Aubrey, Anna; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Parker, Cooper. Andy was a veteran of the U.S. Air force and retired from IBM in 1986 after 27 years of service as an aeronautical Engineer. He was a long-time member of St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church and was involved with Marriage Encounter, Stephens Ministry and enjoyed making presentations at Marriage Pre-Cana Classes. Andy and Betty spent 32 winters in Florida, where he enjoyed his love of tennis and even won the N.Y. State Championship Men's Tennis Doubles at the Senior Games. His greatest passion was spending time with Family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary's Church, 1110 Pennsylvania Avenue, Apalachin, NY. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin, NY. In lieu of flowers, the Bonetti Family requests donations may be made to Tioga County Rural Ministries www.tcrm.org.
