Obituary of Thelma Hopkins

Thelma Hopkins, 96, of Owego went to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 7, 2021. Thelma was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Leon O. Hopkins; son, Leon Oliver Hopkins; grandson, Timothy Hopkins; great-great-grandson, Derrick Patenaude; four siblings, Dorothy Hopkins, Cornelius “James” Miller, Theresa Reynolds, parents Howard & Florence Miller. Thelma is survived by her three children and daughter-in-law, Robert Hopkins, James and Brenda Hopkins, Joanna Bundick; nine grandchildren, Michelle, Phillip, Shannon, Cindy, Jeffrey, Dennis, Christina, Heather, Justin; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Miller; sister, Shirley Graham; several nieces and nephews. Thelma will be remembered for her special smile that resonated her grace, gentleness, & caring spirit. Funeral services will be held privately at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, Owego with her grandson, Rev. John Mellish, officiating. Burial will be in the Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY.
