Mary A. Sullivan, 83, of Owego, went to sleep in the arms of Jesus on December 9, 2021 with family by her side. Mary was predeceased by her husband, John L. Sullivan whom she married on November 22, 1958; her parents, Lawrence and Eleanor (Franz) Howe; sister, Kathleen Howe. Surviving are her children, Shauni and Arno "Slugger" Rosenberger (Owego), Tim and Kim Sullivan (Candor), Colleen Sullivan (Owego); Pat and Debra Sullivan (Orlando, Florida) and her "summer daughter" Jasmine "Meenie" Perez (Yonkers); ten grandchildren, Amy (Robert) Toomey, Jennifer (Josh) Wakeman, Chris (Heather) Ulrich, Adam Sullivan and fiancée Kourtni Homan , Ali (Zach) Miller, Sarah (John Mike) Harris, Andrew Sullivan, Matthew Sullivan, Alex Sullivan (Amber), and Mimi Sullivan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Fran Howe, Jim and Arlene Howe; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois Barden, Estie and Ron Mowry, Helen and Bob Shiptenko, Gail and Ralph Tapia, Madeline and Mike Carlson; two sisters-in-law, Kate Robinson, Linda Huey; 14 great-grandchildren, Kat, Rob, Lia, Kilie, Tate, Ella Mae, Ryan, Bodie, Lilly, Ella Jane, Jordan, Jocelynn, Karleigh, Liam. She was a lifelong friend and second cousin, class mate, and co-worker with Jackie (Newell) Hotchkiss who predeceased her. Mary was a graduate of the OFA class of 1956 and SUNY Cortland class of 1961. She was an elementary teacher at St. Patrick's School and Owego-Apalachin School District. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Church, in Owego, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 300 Main St., Owego, NY. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary A.
