Muriel L. Juska, 100, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015. Muriel was born in Dennysville, ME to the late Edwin and Roberta(Garnier) Mahar. She was the last surviving of eleven children. Mrs. Juska is survived by her husband of 71 years, William Juska; her children, Paula Smith, William and Maryann Juska, Phillip Juska, Paul and Leigh Juska; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Juska obtained a degree from Asbury Park Business College. Prior to marriage, she was the bookkeeper at Steinbach’s Department Store in Long Branch, New Jersey. She was also employed at the Battery Testing Center at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, New York 13827. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport, New Jersey. Memorial contributions may be made in Muriel Juska’s memory to St. Patrick’s School, 309 Front Street, Owego, New York 13827. Condolences may be made to the Juska Family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com
