Monica F. Emery, 84, of Big Flats, NY, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2022, at home. Born on March 30, 1938, in Ithaca, NY, the daughter of the late Karl E. and Dorothy (Cook) Fuller. Monica was also predeceased by her four siblings, Mary, Patricia, Thomas and Sandra, as well as the love of her life, her husband of 59 years, Howard H. Emery. After a long career at NYSEG, Monica and Howard enjoyed many years traveling around the country. They greatly enjoyed their time spent living in both New Mexico and Tennessee. In 2008, they returned to New York, where Monica spent time volunteering at Elcor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her number one pleasure in life was her family. She was always organizing special events to bring family together to celebrate. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, which she celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm. She is survived by her four children, Kathleen (Glenn) Hartman, Joanne (David) Bolyard, Daniel (Jennifer) Emery, Raymond (Ann-Marie) Emery; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was tickled to be able to recently meet and hold her youngest 3 month old great-grandson. The family is greatly appreciative of Mary, Paula, Krystal and Katrina for their wonderful assistance and support during Monica's final days. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. with funeral services following at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY.
