Obituary of Shirley Ann Halliday

Shirley A. Halliday, 84, of Owego, NY passed away Monday, August 1, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Arnold and Anna Haines; husband, Herbert Halliday; brother, James Haines. She is survived by her son, Timothy Warner and Colleen; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Ryan Kline, Jessica and Kyle McBride, Richard and Elizabeth Warner, Sheena and Mark Schiffler; six great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Alaura, Keelin, Kinsley, Jane, Billy; daughter-in-law, Tammy Ferrera; sister-in-law, Esther Haines; several nieces and nephews. Shirley worked with joy many years for the Grand Union, JJ Newberry's and Thompsons Grocery, all of Owego. She was very community minded and volunteered for many organizations. Shirley will be remembered for her smile and love of family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY with Pastor Wayne Sibrava, officiating. Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday Evening from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
