Rafael "Ralph" Tapia, 74, of Owego passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at home. Ralph is survived by Gail Tapia; three sons and daughters-in-law, R. Eric and Erika Tapia, Benjamin and Kristin Tapia; David and Amy Tapia; five grandchildren, Johnathan, Regan, Cavan, Benjamin, Jacob. Ralph was a Vietnam Veteran having served with the U.S. Army. He retired from the U.S. Department of Defense. He served as commander of the VFW Post # 1371. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 16th from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. with services to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Memorial contributions may be made in Ralph Tapia's memory to the Tioga County Rural Ministry, 143 North Ave., Owego, NY 13827 or the Glenn A. Warner VFW Post #1371, 207 Main St., Owego, NY 13827.
