Obituary of Leonore Kohn Gill

Leonore Kohn Gill, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 30 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Leonore was born in Sayre on January 3, 1949. She is predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Agnes Kohn. Leonore is survived by her husband, Gene Gill of an amazing 54 years; daughter, Emily (John) Crawford; sister, Meredith (Frank) Bocek; brother, Mark (Trisha) Kohn; several nieces and nephews. She adored her two beautiful granddaughters, Carsten and Geneva Crawford. To them and many of their friends, she was "Oma". Leonore had a strong faith and attended the Methodist Church. She taught and shaped numerous students over her 34 years as an elementary teacher at Tioga Elementary school. Leonore was also an avid quilter, and owned and operated the Churn Dash Fabric Shop for 8 years. Leonore never missed an event that her daughter or granddaughters were involved in. She loved Disney World and planned many trips with her family over the last 11 years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY with the Rev. Rob Abell, officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Leonore K.
