Gerald "Jerry" Patterson, 82, formally of Owego, passed away on March 5, 2023. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, George and Violet Patterson; brother, Larry Patterson. He is survived by his loving companion, Carol Shapiro; his three brothers, Roger (Donna) Patterson, Ken (Melody) Patterson, Mike (Heather Bellis) Patterson; his children, Steven (Jodi) Patterson, Douglas Patterson, Sue Patterson; Carols children, Aarene Alessi, Joshua Shapiro; grandchildren; great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jerry graduated from Owego Free Academy and was a veteran of the US Army. He worked for the Wise potato chip company while living in Syracuse for many years. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services and military honors being accorded at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Burial will be at the Nichols Cemetery, Nichols, NY. The family is being assisted by the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home.
