Loraine Ann "Lorie" Hidock, 62, of Owego, NY passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. Loraine was predeceased by her parents, Raymond, Sr. and Mary Ann James; husband, George Hidock. She is survived by her children, James Conaway, Jennifer Conaway; step-daughter, Holly Hidock; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor and Kathy James, Raymond "Kip" James, Jr., Joseph and Helene James, Thomas and Deborah James; two sisters, Olivia Almario and Jacqui Bullington; two aunts; one uncle; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Lorie was one of the most vibrant, loving souls we have ever known, she always helped others with no thought of reward for herself. Everyone loved her because she was genuine and made the world a better place. Lorie worked at Walmart of Vestal where she enjoyed seeing friends and family at checkout daily. She loved the outdoors with gardening, canning, hunting and fishing being just a few of her favorite passions. The family wishes to thank Willow Point Nursing Home for all their compassion and care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY with Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Condolences may be made to Lorie's family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
