Additionally, he held a special affection for his four-legged grand-pup, Sampson and his canine little buddy, Dusty. In years past, he cherished the annual clambakes he organized for what seemed like for the local community, a time that held a special place in his heart. During his last three years at Beechtree Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, he found joy in the company of family and friends, relished moments spent reading, and held a special bond with his favorite therapist, Darlene "Rosie" Rose. His daily ritual of enjoying a beer became a cherished routine, providing him the resilience to approach the remarkable age of almost 101.
