Obituary of Leland Wayne Foster

Leland "Lee" Foster, 77, of Candor, NY passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023. Lee is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol (Jantz) Foster; five children, Tammy (Doug) Foster, Patricia (Bob) Foster, Suzanna (Randy) Foster; Frederick Deubler, Robert Deubler; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; 12 siblings, Janette Newman, Rodney (Ellen) Foster, Gloria (Otto) Aagard, Jacqueline (Russell) Edwards, Dale (Tina) Foster, Gordon (Rose) Foster, Bradley (Helen) Foster, Donna (Harry) Heidl, Bonnie (Arnie) Marsh, Stanley (Pansy) Foster, Vicki (Frank) Lyon, Cheryl Karius; numerous nieces and nephews. Lee was a Vietnam Veteran and was a life member of the` American Legion Post #907, VFW Post #1371, the military Order of the Purple Heart, and the DAV. Lee retired from Cornell University and enjoyed his gardening. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor, NY with Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
