Rev. Robert L. Argetsinger, 100, of Nichols, New York went to be with the Lord, Friday, November 25, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. Robert was born in Newfield, New York to the late Edwin and Laura (Snyder) Argetsinger. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Laura Snyder Argetsinger Allen and stepfather, George Allen, father, Edwin J. Argetsinger; wife of 61 years, Louise Argetsinger, sister, Barbara Argetsinger; son-in-law, John Eskow. He is survived by his five children and their spouses, Roger and Carol Argetsinger, Joyce and John Gardenour, Janice Eskow, Christine and Rev. Greg Phillips, Robert and Rebecca Argetsinger; 15 grandchildren, Dr. Laura (Reydel) Leon Machado, Timothy (Samantha) Argetsinger, Sharon (Gordon) Creel, Jennifer (Peter) Aziaka, Dr. Karen (Brandon) Jaunarajs, Jonathan (Rachel) Eskow, Bethanie Phillips, Micah (Shannon) Phillips, Joel Phillips, Malachi Phillips, Jeremy (Susan) Argetsinger, Megan (Ryan) Robbins, Ethan (Jessica) Argetsinger, Rebekah (Jordan) Temple, Robert Argetsinger III; 20 great grandchildren, Clara, Remington, Frederick, Everett, Maxwell, Lydia, Asa, Asher, Emily, Landon, Cadence, Caroline, Jetson, Rowan, Jack, Mia, Elora, Anita, David, Naomi; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Argetsinger graduated from Ithaca High School, class of 1941, served with the U.S. Army, stationed in Adak, Alaska. After the war, he graduated from Green Lane Bible Institute (now known as the University of Valley Forge), class of 1953. Robert worked for IBM for over 25 years and pioneered and pastored the Assembly of God Church, Owego, NY. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY, with Pastor George Budine, officiating.
