Linda (Womble) Conrad, of Brooktondale, NY and Zephyrhills, FL, passed away in the early morning hours on January 13th, 2024 after a short illness. Born to Raymond "Tex" and Iva (Williams) Womble on December 19th 1940 in Ithaca, NY. Linda was proud to have grown up in the Ithaca's Fall Creek area and attended Fall Creek Elementary, and Ithaca Junior-Senior High school. Linda worked at Cornell University and remained there till her retirement after 30 years. Linda was an avid outdoors woman and could always be found out on opening day of deer season for many years. She was a lifetime bird watcher, marking the seasons change by what birds had come and gone. Along with bird watching, Linda loved gardening in her flower beds. Being known as the green thumb to get anything to grow. Linda could take a cutting and make it into a full plant in a pot to join the ones her porch. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Iva; two brothers, Raymond Jr. and Stanley "Stosh"; her husband of 16 years, Lester Conrad. She is survived by her three daughters, Leighann Fowler (David De Haas), Karen Johnson (Jeffrey), and Kathy Fowler-Campbell (Carl); three grandchildren, Rory Baldwin, Jennifer Johnson, and Kalleigh Johnson; lder sister Sue Newton (Dave); and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Berlin and to Hospicare of Ithaca for their support during the end of Linda's life.
