William A. "Billy" O'Hara, 70, of Apalachin, NY, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024. Billy was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and William O'Hara; two brothers, Andrew O'Hara, Kevin O'Hara; sister, Sherry Wicklund. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Raquel O'Hara; grandson, Angel O'Hara; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Robert Watts, Sharon and Charles Yaple; brother-in-law, John Wicklund; nieces and nephews, Jason O'Hara, Jeremy (Karen) O'Hara, Matthew (Bridget) Yaple, Jessica (Andrew) Hodel, Chad O'Hara, Kyle (Kristina) Wicklund, Kristie (Phil) McBride, David (Kristen) Watts; several great nieces and great nephews; mother-of-his-son, Debbie Smith; many cousins and dear friends. Billy graduated from Owego Free Academy and worked as a steel worker for Patronis Steel in Fort Walton Beach, FL. He was a member of Haven of Rest Ministries and Sword & The Spirit Christian Fellowship. Billy had a passion for serving others and was very devoted to his family and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2023 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in William A. O'Hara's memory to Haven of Rest Ministries, 86 Southside Dr., Owego, NY or Tioga County Rural Ministry, 143 North Avenue, Owego, NY 13827.
