Richard "Dick" Boland, 72, of Owego, New York, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Richard was born in Endicott, NY to the late Gerard and Mamie (Patterson) Boland. Along with his parents, He was predeceased by his niece, Michele Evans. Dick is survived by his wife 32 years, Penny Boland; his son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Heather Bryant and their children, Mercedes (Vincent), Ella and Camille; son, Jason Bryant and Molly Walters and their children, Talulah, Silas, Noah; daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Adam DeVoe and their children, Maverick, Zachary, Maggie, Rebecca; he will be sadly missed by his brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Barbara Boland and their children, Melissa Johnson and her children, Daniel and Aidan, Sarah and Scott Drain and their children, Catherine and Sam; brother and sister-in-law, David and Kate Boland, their children, Billy and Debby Evans and their children, Colin (Jessica), Keegan (Nicole) and Rory, David Evans and Shanna Hendrick, his children, Parker and Clark (Laurel), Chris (Frances) and their sons, Dylan, Brendan; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Len DeSantis and their children, Jim and Kim DeSantis and their children, Madison, AJ, Amanda, Adam, Noah; Gerard and Emily DeSantis and their children, Leo and Lizzie; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Randy and Brenda Cronk, Raymond Cronk, Kevin and Penny Cronk, Susan and Joe Clark, Kim and Bob Monroe, and their children; and many lifelong friends. Dick was a graduate from OFA Class of 1971 and was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. He worked for IBM Corp. and later retired from Lockheed Martin Corp. Dick loved his community and his 1957 Chevy and his Corvettes. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 300 Main St., Owego, NY. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Owego, NY. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.
