Barbara L. Garges, 91, of Apalachin, New York, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Barbara was born in Ashland, KY to the late Lloyd and Dorothy Keyser. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Neil Garges. Barbara is survived by her son, Kenneth Garges; three sisters and brother-in-law, Alma and Jack McFarland, Deborah Shinall, Sharon Whitton; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Barbara was an active musician in the area and served as the organist with the Tabernacle United Methodist Church of Binghamton, NY. She was a former adjunct professor with Binghamton University for 28 years. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY with the Rev.
