Rodney C. Foster, 83, of Candor, New York, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Rodney was predeceased by his parents, Harley and Elizabeth "Tillie" Foster; two brothers, Leland "Lee" Foster, Dale Foster; two brothers-in-law, Karl Newman, David Marsh; step-son, Tony Amoroso. Rodney is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ellen (Kivlen) Foster; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Melvin and Amanda Foster; daughter and son-in-law, Rima and Kevin Brooks; step-daughter, Terri Andrews; five grandchildren, Elwyn (Leigh), Ezekiel, Linden, Evangeline, Quinn; siblings, Janette Newman; Gloria and Otto Aagaard, Jacqueline and Russell Edwards, Gordon and Rose Foster, Bradley Foster (Helen), Donna and Harry Heidl, Bonnie Marsh (Brian), Stanley and Pansy Foster, Vicki and Frank Lyon, Cheryl Karius; two sisters-in-law, Carol Foster, Tina Foster; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Rodney had a long career as a meat cutter for various employers. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love of baseball, basketball, and running. The family will receive friends Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 p.m. at the Candor Congregational Church, 134 Main St., Candor, NY, with his son, Rev. Melvin Foster, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. The family is being assisted by the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home.
