Martin "Marty" Simielo, passed away suddenly, Friday September 27, 2024. Martin is predeceased by his parents, Michael and Nina (Hollenbeck) Simielo. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diana (Halstead) Simielo; his daughter, Jennifer (Stephen) Chandler; two grandchildren, Marisa (Philip) Clair, Eric Chandler (Brianna); two great granddaughter's, Savannah and Brinley and his future great grandson, Kolsyn; sister-in-law, Sue Shaff; and several cousins. Martin loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles and was an avid motorcycle rider. Martin rode his Harley every sunny day possible, and built many custom chopper's. Another passion of Martin's was hunting and shooting trap. He was the NYS champion trap shooter of the year. Martin worked as an auto mechanic for 30 years, working at Joe Trabucco Chevrolet and Hilltop Service where he retired after ten years.The family will receive friends Thursday October 3, 2024, from 4:00pm to 5:45pm, with a funeral service immediately following at 6:00 pm at the Estey, Munroe and Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, NY.
