On Saturday, October 12, 2024, God wrapped his arms around a very sweet and loving lady, Ruthie Mae Hoose, and escorted her to a place where she can be with her loving friends and beloved pets, and be forever without pain and worries. Ruthie, 96, of Willseyville, was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Charles Hoose; her parents, William and Anna Soule; sister, Sylvia Douglas; three brothers, Ernie Soule, Donnie Soule, Lawrence Griffin; two special friends, Albert Carr, Frances Terwilliger, and her many special pets. Ruthie is survived by her son, Dick Hoose; daughter, Shirley Graham; grandson, Brian Graham; several nieces, nephews and her special cat, Smokey. Ruthie helped her husband, Charles, run the family farm until it's dispersal in 1965, then she worked for Kresge Five and Dime for a few years. In 1972, she joined her son, Dick, in running his business, The Screener, and then in 1995, they teamed up once again to run Dick's next adventure, Wild Man's Bait and Tackle, until her retirement in 1999. Deep gratitude goes out to the doctors, nurses, and staff that provided her with comfort, care and support for many years.
