Richard Wayne Beebe Obituary

Richard Wayne Beebe, 83, of Cortland, NY, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at home surrounded by family. Richard was born in Cortland, NY to the late Richard L. and Mildred (Forsythe) Beebe. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sherri (Leet) Beebe; four sons and daughters-in-law, William and Noelle Brockway, Jeffrey and Melody Beebe, Richard J. Beebe, Christopher and Lori Beebe; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Robin Beebe; sister, Carol Fenton; several nieces, nephews and friends. Richard worked for many companies and was proud to have worked on the prototype of the Lunar Lander and the high speed drive for the U-2 Spy Plane. He later went on to become the owner/operator of the Redding Reloading Equipment of Cortland, New York. Richard's passions included hunting, fishing, his collection of old Ford Vehicles, building and flying his own plane and spending time with family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Chapel, 92 Main Street, VanEtten, NY with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Private burial will be held at the Virgil Rural Cemetery, Cortland, NY. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 7th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard W. Beebe's memory to the North Spencer Christian Academy, 721 Ithaca Rd, Spencer, NY 14883, Marathon Christian Academy, 5 Park St., Marathon, NY 13803, or St. Luke's Chapel, 92 Main St. Van Etten, NY 14889.
