David Alan Barnhart Obituary

David Alan Barnhart, 69, passed away on December 28, 2024, at Allied Hospice in Scranton, PA, after a very short illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Oscar Edwin and Charlotte Marie Barnhart; his special companion, his dog Spanky. He is survived by his two daughters, Nicole Evanosky, Amanda Barnhart and her significant other, Aaron Markle; four grandchildren, Logan, Nadia, Savina, Hunter; his former wife, Ronna Barnhart; his significant other, Cathy McNulty; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Vicki Barnhart; sister and brother-in-law, Lorie and Bob Reardon; nephew, Ryan (Allyson) Barnhart; two nieces, Erika (Shawn) Carey and Lindsey (Sherif) Abdelazim and all 8 of their children. Dave was particularly close to Randy Keller and Joe Barnhart. Dave worked for 25 years at IBM Endicott, then opened his own business, Barnhart Home Improvements and had a few other short-term jobs. Dave was a very devoted family man and loved spending time with all of his family, but especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, with hunting and fishing as his passions. Dave loved wood-working, cooking, gardening, freezing, canning his garden harvests and then sharing his bounty with his jams and pickles. The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. with services immediately following at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe and Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, NY. The family would like to thank Allied Services for their compassionate care and concern for him and the family.
