John L. Hern, Sr., 85, of Ithaca, New York, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. John was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Hern. He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Stacey Hern, Jeff and Cindi Hern, Chris and Melissa Hern; five grandchildren, John, Makayla, Casey, Nicole, Lindsey; one great-granddaughter, Brea. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating.
