Obituary of William Raymond Rackett
Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William R. "Bill" Rackett, 46, of Little Meadows, PA passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 16, 2025.
Bill is survived and missed by his loving Fianceé, Rachael Pabon; and his children, Jaxson and Cayden. Forever cherished and remembered by his parents, Jerry & Louise Henderson; three brothers, Michael, Jeremy, Joseph; two sisters, Patricia, Amy; and two very important children in his life, Isabella, Gavin. Bill absolutely adored his entire family and friends. Known for his unwavering commitment to his loved ones, he cherished every moment spent with them, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being. His drive in life was to create pure happiness all around him. All his activities consisted of getting family and friends together, to enjoy each other's company. This consisted, among other things, to be camping adventures, epic water gun fights, fantastic fireworks displays or simply orchestrating that devious prank that he had spent six long months planning. He had a spectacular sense of humor, incredible patience and loved being the kid-at-heart. Bill often spent his spare moments camping, golfing, bowling or playing darts and had an unquenchable thirst for the outdoors. His true passion was always fishing. He would talk excitedly about how he couldn't wait to teach his sons everything he knew about the art of fishing. Whether it be on a lake or simply along a shoreline, Bill was in his happy place. For those that tagged along on his fishing adventures he made certain you had a memorable experience. If you didn't have the equipment, Bill provided it. If you were unsure, he taught you (with absolute patience). He always wanted to pass along that passion and to be certain everyone was having a memorable time. Simply put, Bill was a good man; the epitome of a true family man. Most of his work involved being out of town during the week but he loved returning home to be with his fianceé, Rachael and his children. He had so many fantastic plans in the works but unfortunately life doesn't go as directed. For those that knew Bill, that larger-than-life smile will be sorely missed. It is a void that will certainly never be filled. The family would like to receive friends Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:45am, with a celebration of Bill's life to immediately follow at 12:00 noon, at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St, Owego NY.
