Anna B. Haines, 93, of Owego, joined her husband of 45 years, Arnold “Abe” Haines in Heaven on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Besides her husband, Anna was predeceased by her parents, Harrison and Almina Bailey, grandson, Jeffery Haines; siblings, Irene Barney and Harrison Baiey, Jr; son-in-law, Herbert Halliday. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Halliday; son and daughter-in-law, James and Esther Haines; grandchildren, James Haines, Randy Haines, Tom Haines, Timothy Warner, Jocelyn (Ryan) Kline; great grandchildren, Jessica (Kyle) McBride, Rick (Liz) Warner, Sheena Warner, Joshua Haines, Kelly (Danny) Hall, Nicole Haines, James Haines, Brandi Gaylord, Adalynn Kline; several great-great grandchildren; sister, Helen Bensley; several nieces and nephews. Anna was a devoted member of the Gospel Chapel and worked many years for the Owego Pennysaver. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St, Owego with the Rev. Loretta Perry, officiating. Burial will be in the Woodbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Anna B. Haines’ memory to The Gospel Chapel – Building Fund, 203 North Avenue, Owego, NY 13827 or the Owego Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 22, Owego, NY 13827.
