Obituary of James Robert Shirley

James Robert “Jimmer” Shirley, 47, died September 17, 2015 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre after a brief illness. He was bon in Johnson City in 1968 to Gerald and Beverly Shirley and spent several years as a machinist at Union Forge in Endicott and at Therm in Ithaca. Jimmer is survived by his father Gerald; his brother Steven (Sue) Shirley; nephews Buzz and Nick Shirley; and several cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends, and was predeceased by his mother in 1999. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Candor at 12 Noon with the Rev. Phil Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the American Legion Post #907 in Candor immediately following.
