Wayne L. Waxman, 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, with his wife, Faye by his side, as he went to meet Jesus and be united with his furry friend, Misty. Wayne was predeceased by his mother and step-father, Gertrude and William Sibley, and his first wife, Laura. He is survived by his wife, Faye; five children, Tony Waxman, Tammy Waxman, Tonya Samaniego, Tony Hill, Tim (Bethany) Hill; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, David (Erma) Waxman; two sisters, Gerry Bakerink, Nancy (Charles) Lang; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Wayne served the U.S. Air Force as an Airman First Class. He will be remembered for his love of his family and friends, his kind spirit and peaceful ways, love of recycling and re-using, love of working with his hands, woodworking skills and his passion for animals and nature. Wayne was a member of the Lakeview Chapel and currently attended the Village Chapel, Candor. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with the Pastor Kennethr Lindsey, officiating. Burial will follow in the Gibson Corners Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made in Wayne Waxman’s memory to an animal shelter of your choice.
