Obituary of Connie M. Schumacher

Connie M. Schumacher, 68, of Owego left to be with her predeceased family in Heaven on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Connie was predeceased by her parents, Bob and Betty Blend; sister, Arlene Buffum; two brothers, Bob and John Blend. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Bernie; daughter, Lisa Schumacher; two sons and their spouses, Stephen and Maureen Schumacher, Anthony and Sharon Schumacher; two grandsons, Derek Hicks, Weston Schumacher; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Connie served as President of the Owego Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for two years and retired from the Owego Apalachin School District after 29 years of food service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Owego.
