Obituary of B. Patricia Lainhart

B. Patricia Lainhart, 82, of Owego went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Patricia was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Roger Lainhart; son, Lee W. Lainhart; birth parents, Harvey and Alice Johnston; adoptive parents, William, Helen and Luella Halstead; sister, Marcia Bergquist, brother, Richard Woodford. She is survived by her five daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Larry West, Barbara Walker and her friend, Tim LaPierre, Lori Lainhart (Al Knapp), Leslie and Michael Steidle, Gretchen and Paul Meyers; five grandchildren, Michael and Christian, Brianna (Russell), Melinda (Matthias), Anthony; three great-grandsons, Owen Russell, Elijah Patrick, Asher Lee; step-sister, Joanie Crown; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Patricia worked for New York Telephone, Stan Drazen, Atty., James Mowry, Architect, Ellis, Edson and Beaudry Real Estate, Turk, Truman, Bishop, Simpson & Tillapaugh Law Practice and retired from Tioga County Department of Mental Health after 20 years of service. She and her husband, Roger, were members of the Ti-Ahwaga Community Players for over 25 years. She was a member of Jayncees and The Garden Club. Her passion was gardening, acting, singing and piano accompanist. Patricia’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to Elderwood Care of Tioga and their guardian angels for their high standards of care at every level. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 300 Main St., Owego. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday Evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego.
