Clara B. Whitmarsh, 85, of Newark Valley, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Mrs. Whitmarsh was predeceased by her parents, Sylvester and Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Sullivan) Saddlemire; husband, Donald “Jake” Whitmarsh. She is survived by her children and spouses, Jeff (Wendy) Whitmarsh, Bonnie (Phil) Brigham, Becky (Jeff) Schultheis; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cora Jean “Corky” Whitmarsh; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her dog, Chrissy. Clara enjoyed spending time with family and will be remembered for her love of cooking and baking. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the East Newark Cemetery. Memorial contribitions may be made in Clara B. Whitmarsh’s memery to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850. Condolences may be made to Clara’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
