Obituary of Seth Harlan Blood

Seth Harlan Blood, 72, of Owego passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017. Seth was born February 7, 1945, in Buffalo, New York to the late, Harlan and Helen (Puls) Blood. Along with his parents, Seth was predeceased by an infant daughter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordon and Dorothy Claflin. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Blood; felines, Nutmeg and Onyx, three sons and daughters-in-law, Seth II “Kip” and Jennifer Blood, Matthew and Amy Blood, Jason and Janet Blood; three grandchildren, Tanner, Lanie and Eli; children’s cats, dogs and horses. Seth retired from IBM, Al Spec and H&R Block. He was very community minded and was involved as a NYS Track and Field Official, a little league and youth football coach, Scouting, St. Patrick’s School activities, Ti-Ahwaga Players, Pearl K. McGown Hookrafters and the Tioga County Fair. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Burial will be held privately at the Richville Cemetery, Richville, NY. The family will receive friends Monday Evening from 5 to 7 p.m.at the funeral home.
