Obituary of Kenneth L. Short

Kenneth “Butch” L. Short, 72, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Predeceased by his parents, Kenneth W. Short and Sarah Viette; sister, Carol Rogers; brother, David Short. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna Short; children and their spouses, Kenneth and Linda Short, Robin and Philip Beebe, Darcy and Jill Short; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers and sister-in-law, Roger Short, Stephen and Joyce Short; sisters-in-law, Sharon (John) Carlile, Sandra (James) Berry; several nieces and nephews. Ken retired from IBM and Lockheed Martin in Owego. He loved the outdoors and was a member and instructor of the New York State Trappers Assoc. and a former member of the Tioga County Sportsman’s Assoc. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth L.
