Obituary of Diane E. Ely

Diane E. Ely, 58, of Nichols, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017.  Diane was predeceased by her father, Edward Demarest; sister, Geri Demarest.  She is survived by her mother, Geraldine Demarest; four children, James Ely, Jr., Nathan Ely, Kristy and Virgil Hill, Tracy Ely and Ray Amerman; eight grandchildren, Jeanie, Tessa, Hayden, Aniya, Aubrey, Gianna, Chelsy, Paxton; sister, Joanne Demarest and Tony Jamieson; two brothers, Steven and Brenda Demarest, Edward Demarest, Jr.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  Diane worked for I 3 Cable and Harness in Binghamton.  She will be remembered for her love of the ocean and the beach, nature, her laughter and most importantly her love of her family.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, New York.  Burial will follow in the Nichols Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday Evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Condolences may be made to Diane’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
