Obituary of James David Brock

James David (Jim) Brock, 78, of McAllen, TX and former resident of Spencer, NY, passed away November 10, 2017 in McAllen, TX.   Jim was born on December 25, 1938 in Montour Falls,  NY to Durland and Beatrice (Smith) Brock. He served in the Air Force and worked for Honeywell Information Systems and Vergason Technologies, Inc. as a technician. Since retirement he has enjoyed golfing almost daily, until health limited him. He challenged the golfers of Adobe Wells, and enjoyed their community. Jim was predeceased by his parents and two grandchildren.  He is survived by two sisters, Mary (Jim) Cargill, Beverly (John) Sorgi;  two brothers, Ron Brock, Peter Brock;  his children, David (Lori) Brock, of Bothel, WA, Daniel (Penchie) Brock,  of Castro Valley, CA,  Douglas (Lori) Brock,  of Candor, NY; Diane Brock,  of Castro Valley, CA; step-daughter, Kirsten Stanberry, CA; twenty grandchildren.  A celebrationof the life of James D. (Jim) Brock will be held on December 8th from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the Van Etten-Spencer VFW, corner of State Route 224 and Wyncoop Creek Road.
