Susan F. Tompkins, 75, of Candor, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018.  Susan was born on July 22, 1942, in Sayre, PA to the late Claude Tompkins and Miriam Otto McCune.  Susan was predeceased by her parents and step-father, Charles McCune; niece, Polly Tompkins.  Susan is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Karen Tompkins; niece, SarahJo Hines; nephew, James Tompkins; great-nieces and nephews, Zachary, Zebulen, James, SiarahJo, Grace, Barden, HattieSue, Polly; great-great-nieces, Peyten, Mackinley; extended family, Jenny Strickland, Christine Brown, Raymond Brown, Linda Stanley.  Susan retired from the Finger Lakes Library System.  She cherished her family, was very community minded, and was involved with many local organizations. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 10:00-10:45 AM with funeral services to follow at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Spencer, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Susan Tompkins’s memory to the Candor Community Chorus, C/O Kathy Ballester, 312 Whitmarsh Hollow Road, Candor, NY 13743.
