Obituary of Dennis P. Reynolds

Dennis Reynolds, 71, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.  Dennis was predeceased by his father, Clarence Reynolds.  He is survived by his mother, Helen Reynolds; his wife of 43 years, Joan Reynolds;  daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Colin Wilson; son, Daniel Reynolds; grandson, Callum Wilson;     brother, Thomas Reynolds; three nieces, Kathy Reynolds and Tim Doane, Jill Reynolds, Linda Reynolds.  Dennis played football and basketball and graduated from OFA Class of 1965.  After graduation he joined the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 and later worked for IBM – Endicott and Lockheed Martin in Owego.  Dennis was very community minded and was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Past Boy Scout Leader of Troop #37, proud member of the Owego Emergency Squad and Owego Fire Department, having served as past treasurer and current historian, a member of Central NY Fireman’s Association.   Dennis loved his N.Y. Yankees and fishing, but most important to him was his family and friends.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 300 Main Street, Owego with the Rev. Mitch Zygaldo, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, New York.   Memorial contributions may be made in Dennis Reynolds’s memory to the Owego Fire Department Training Tower Fund, 178 Main St., Owego, NY  13827.  Condolences may be made to Dennis’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
