To: My Wonderful Husband, Bill, My Strongman
Love, Mag
The time that we shared here was far too brief
And me without you, dear, I don’t want to be
But I’ll see you again, this my heart’s sure
Glowing with life beyond this closing door
You tried very hard, dear, this I do know
You fought like a warrior, yet you still had to go
I’m left with no, You, to walk at my side
And my heart’s like a river neath stormy dark skies

I woke in the morning to a lone silenced room
The sun rose again, and its light had shone through
But the morning brings with it just new shades of blue
As I face yet another of days without you
I won’t give up hope, nor my faith, for I know
We’ll meet yet again when the Lord’s trumpet blows
You’ll see me then, darling, but till then, you sleep
I must walk here awhile, but the good Lord will keep
Yet, I’ll not forget you, my love, this is true
For the best of me came….from me knowing you
