To: My Wonderful Husband, Bill, My Strongman

Love,  Mag

The time that we shared here was far too brief

And me without you, dear, I don’t want to be

But I’ll see you again, this my heart’s sure

Glowing with life beyond this closing door

You tried very hard, dear, this I do know

You fought like a warrior, yet you still had to go

I’m left with no, You, to walk at my side

And my heart’s like a river neath stormy dark skies

H. William “Bill” Knox, 64, of Owego passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.  Bill was born in Waverly, New York to the late Edward and Dawn Knox.  He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lykens-Knox; daughter, Shannon Marie Ackerman; son, Joseph William Knox; grandson, Coban Ackerman.  Private services will be held at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, Owego, NY.

I woke in the morning to a lone silenced room

The sun rose again, and its light had shone through

But the morning brings with it just new shades of blue

As I face yet another of days without you

I won’t give up hope, nor my faith, for I know

We’ll meet yet again when the Lord’s trumpet blows

You’ll see me then, darling, but till then, you sleep

I must walk here awhile, but the good Lord will keep

Yet, I’ll not forget you, my love, this is true

For the best of me came….from me knowing you
