Obituary of Robert E. Crown

Robert Crown, 84, of Endwell passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Agnes Crown; brothers, George and Kenneth. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Vivian Davis Crown; children, Robert (Karen) Crown of Newark Valley, and Londa (David) Ross of Savona; brothers, Richard “Bit” Crown of Owego, and Fred (Lois) Crown of Owego; sister, Catherine (George) Tobin of Owego; grandchildren, Melody and Mark; five great grandchildren; nephew, Bryan Beard and his fiancé Tina of Rochester; nieces, Linda Davis of Rochester and Marjorie Beard of Vestal; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He retired after several years from IBM in Owego. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, a good game of golf and a good meal. He was a woodworker, making furniture for his family and others. Bob was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Owego. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with Rev. Kenneth Wood officiating and burial to follow in Vestal Hills Cemetery. Family invites friends to call from 10 to 11:45 prior to the services. Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
