Obituary of Wesley J. Kwiatkowski
Wesley J. Kwiatkowski, 94, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by two brothers, Henry and Floyd Kwiatkowski; sister, Frances Cyganovich. Wes is survived by his wife of 67 years, Emily “Mildred” Kwiatkowski; 12 children and their spouses, Patricia (Donald) Snowden, Joseph (Meredith) Kwiatkowski, Wesley (Carol) Kwiatkowski, Emily (Neil) Scuderi, Joan (Al) Frolish, Henry (Michele) Kwiatkowski, Marie (Jay) Kobylarz, Laura (Stephen Parmelee) Kwiatkowski, Matthew (Maribeth Krohn) Kwiatkowski, James Kwiatkowski, Diana (Jeff) Ford, Mark (Sandy) Kwiatkowski; 28 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Kwiatkowski a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII, owned and operated Tri-Kay Farms in Owego and was co-owner of Lawlers Grocery and Liquor Store. He was a lector and member of Blessed Trinity Parish and St. Patrick’s Church, a life member of the VFW Post #1371, member of Tioga County Democratic Committee and the Tioga County Farm Bureau. Wes loved to hunt, fish, bowl, golf, play pinocle and was a die-hard fan of the N.Y. Mets. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 300 Main St., Owego. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Wesley Kwiatkowski’s memory to Tioga County Rural Ministry, 143 North Avenue, Owego, NY 13827.
