Barbara M. French, 85, of Owego, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Eunice Nelson; husband, Ozzie French; granddaughter, Nicole Short-Wiles; sister, Carolyn Karpenski; and brother, Doug Nelson. Barbara is survived by her children, Byron French, Louis French, and Cynthia French; sisters, Eleanor Archibald, and Beverly Fox; grandchildren, Stacy, Louis, Joey, and Jessica; 10 great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter. Barbara loved her family and her animals. She worked for Amphenol in Endwell for over 18 years, and then she retired after working for IBM in Endicott for 17 years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Estey, Munroe & Fahey, 15 Park St., Owego with Rev. Philip Jordan officiating. Family invites friends to call from 10 to 11:45 AM prior to the services.
