Please share a memory of Aida to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Aida Beverly Butterfield Robinson of Candor, born 7/4/18, passed away on Thursday, August 14th at the age of 96. Bev was predeceased by her parents Claude and Rose Butterfield; her beloved husband Paul “Johnny” Robinson; brothers Bronson, Elberon and Robert Butterfield; sister Jean Ward; and son Brad Robinson. She is survived by her son Bron (Hannah) Robinson; grandchildren Brad (Marianne) Robinson, Will Robinson, and Hannah (Robert) Murray; and great granddaughter Hannah Murray, all of Candor; and sister-in-law Betty (Elberon) Butterfield of Saratoga. Bev was “Aunt Bev” to many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their children. Bev fondly remembered her 15 years teaching art at Marathon High School. Bev and John loved music, dancing, and singing all the “old songs” for which they knew ALL the words and verses. She moved to Longview in Ithaca in 2004 where she remained creative and active in music and art, and met care giver Gohar Avagyan and her kind family. Bev missed her Johnny terribly since his death in 2006, but now they can resume their 64+ years of marriage together. Calling hours will be 1-2 pm on Wednesday, August 20th at the Estey, Munroe, & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street in Candor, and Rev Phil Jordan will perform a graveside service to follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Candor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bev’s name to the Candor Ambulance Squad or the American Diabetes Association.
