James A. Mahar, 63, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014. Jim is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, William G. and Ida Mahar; nieces and nephews, William P. (Marilyn) Mahar, Patrick (Joann) Mahar, Shannon (Steve) Scott; great nieces and nephews, BJ, Marie (Matt) Isner, Sam, Glen, Mike and Nick. Jim retired from Tioga County and later drove bus for Terp’s Enterprise. Jim was a great drum corps enthusiast and was affiliated with the Statesman of Rochester, the Brigadier Bugle and Drum Corps of Syracuse and was active with the DCA. Services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Burial will be in the Tioga Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Condolences may be made to Jim’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com
